International Society of SS. Cosma & Damiano
Dear Joe:
Thank you for your kind invitation to attend the Second Annual Saints Cosma & Damiano Dinner Dance on Sunday, April 5th. I look forward to joining all of you at this wonderful event.
Joe, please be assured that the plaque we spoke about will be installed outside one of our “ICU Rooms” in honor of The International Society of SS. Cosma & Damiano. Although our “ICU Rooms” are $50,000 I wanted your fine Society to be placed there. I know that your Second Annual Dinner Dance will be a success and we will add the proceeds from both dinners toward your plaque site. Please let me know if this is acceptable to you and the Society.
My office will be in touch to discuss a date that would be convenient for you and Clara as well as your Officers to come to the Hospital for a blessing ceremony of your plaque.
Thank you again for your kind support of St. Francis Hospital. We send you our best wishes for a healthy and Happy New Year.
Sincerely,
Joseph G. Savage

Dear Mr. DeCandia:
Thank you for yet another most generous donation and for the support your organization has shown the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. Contributions such as yours are vital our ongoing efforts. Your dedication to families in crisis makes it possible to keep the magic alive at the Ronald McDonald House. Your “Heart” on our “Hearts For The House Wall” will forever be a symbol of your commitment.
The House has been able to shelter more than 3, 500 families since opening its doors in 1986. Families find a home which eases the financial burden of staying at a hotel, eating from hospital and relatives while their child is in the hospital. We are proud to be “the House that Love Built” and happy that your organization has chosen us to be its benefactor year after year.
On behalf of the families we serve and their children that need them close by, and our Board of Directors, thank you for your continued love and support.
Sincerely,
Silvana LaFerlita Gullo Carol Adelsen

Dear Mr. DeCandia:
The July issue of “Partners in Hope “relates the stories of many children whose lives have been saved through your generosity and the knowledge and skills of St. Jude Hospital’s physicians and researchers.
You have provided these children, as well as our future patients, with the opportunity to win their fight against childhood cancers. As you read through this issue, you will meet former patients who are married and have children of their own, children who are now in their senior year of high school, and former patients are symbols of what your gifts really mean to St. Jude Hospital, the gift of life.
Since St. Jude freely shares its research findings and treatment methods with hospitals and scientists throughout the world, your support is also saving the lives of children the world over.
Thank you for your generous support and for thinking of the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Sincerely,
Richard C. Shadyac
National Executive Director

Dear Friends:
On behalf of the Board of Governors of St. Francis Hospital, I would like to thank the Trustees and members of the International Society of SS. Cosma and Damiano for your continued generosity to St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center.
Since your organization began its fund raising efforts in 1990, St. Francis Hospital has received over $150,000 in support of its mission to diagnose, treat and prevent heart disease. This remarkable generosity is indeed a tribute to all of your efforts, and is certainly a reflection of the dedication and leadership of your late founder, Joseph DeCandia. We at St. Francis Hospital remain committed to providing the highest quality, compassionate care to all of our patients. This is what Joe DeCandia wanted, and I can assure you that your continued support will serve as a tribute to Joe and his many ideals.
I wish you continued success and thank you again for your outstanding commitment to St. Francis Hospital.
Yours sincerely,
Alan D. Guerci, M.D.
